Market Day And Review

Wednesday 23rd September we had a market day at Hornby high school. My group sold panikeke, we were supposed to sell chips as well but our deep fryer fell threw last minute. Our weaknesses were: poor communication, lack of effort and being unorganised.
Poor communication - We had poor communication because we didn't really talk about our plan for market day or who was bringing what. we also didn't really talk on the day about who was staying at the stand for what times so I ended up staying by the stand for the whole day selling things. I think next time to work on this we would need to either have a group chat of all the members or actually talk about things before and on the day. 
Lack of effort - On the day we only had 3/5 members actually show up. Even tho I only jumped into the group three weeks before market day I still tired my best. I do think that everyone in the group could have done better on the day and actually work as a group instead of just one person doing everything. Next time I think we could all try a bit harder and work together. 
Being unorganised - on the day we didn't have any of the stuff we needed other then  that it was pretty good and in the end at least we were able to sell out and make a profit from what we sold

 This is America:Childish Gambian is the composer of the song.The song is about violence in america and the racism in america.I think the song is alright I wouldn't say the best but it gives us a good understanding about america.

I have a dream:I have a dream is a speech wrote by martin Luther king jr.The speech is about racism also he has a dream that one day the racism will end and the white and the black will combine like a family.

Changes Tupac shakur:the composer of the song is amaru shakur aka tupac.the song is about racism.I like this song because its one of my favourite all time rappers.

 In the reaping scene costumes are used effectively to show themes of rich vs poor. We see this when the people of District 12 are waiting for someone to be chosen to represent their District. The lifestyle of the district is reflected in the clothes that they wear. These clothes are made of limited material, they are dull, boring. This makes us understand there is a difference between the opportunity, power and privilege between District 12 and the Capitol The Director did this to make the audience understand how costumes can symbolise the inequality between the Capitol and Districts. This symbolism combined with a wide shot of the crowd in District 12 and an over the shoulder shot of Effie reveal the lack of opportunity in District 12 and the power of the Capitol.This aspect can be contrasted to the character of Effie, wears bright pink outfit that has a lot of design behind it revealing the opportunities given to characters in the Capitol.

Hunger Games Film Study

Poor: In the beggining from what we see with the old houses and their clothes and trying to survive and like sad people. The music is more soft. they have a lack of food and they arent allowed to hunt but they still do.

Rich:The capital is a rich place where they dont need to worry about going poor or anything their clothes are fancy and some people have some pretty weird hair cuts, and is a big place they were a lot of make up, the music is alot more bass to it.Excotic clothes they have a lot more technology than D12

Reaping:They have less colour than what the capital does, They are scared/shocked the coal doesn't even get to keep it, it goes to the capital the colour/lighting has more of a faded type of scene their technology isn't as advanced they all dress up in as nice clothes as they can.

The sound in the reaping scene is all quiet cause they are being tense and are waiting to see whos gonne be picked and in the capital has a lot more sound cause they are all hyped and ready to see who gets picked or just doing their own thing cause they are so into the hunger games and just want to see people get riped apart. and D12 is not into it cause that could be their family thats dying and if its a little one and they go into the hunger games and then they die their gonna get really mad.

There were some close ups and over the sholder shots some there was a lot less colour in D12 then there is at the capital.

The mockingjay pin was Katniss Everdeen's tribute token in the 74th and 75th Hunger Games alternate versions of it are featured on the cover of each of the three books unknowingly the pin became a sign of rebellion to the Capitol since mockingjays were created after the disastrous experiment with jabberjays. When the veiwers see this symbol they underdstand what it means and they don't have to be like I don't know what this is it helps them to understand why katniss got this pin for her little sister.

The director uses a extreame close up to symbolize that this pin is an important part of this movie and show everyone the mocking jay pin

Interview scene:

In the interview scene the people from the capital have more designer clothing and a-lot of makeup.The technology that is used is more modern compared to every other district.In the scene also during the reaping there is a blood verifier which determines their identity.and the train that is floating which is really modern.

Rich:More opportunities than D-12, the capital would have a lot more food than all the districts example when katniss went to show what she could do they pulled out a whole roasted pig with an apple in its mouth which goes to show they are very rich in food. 

Clothing is a big difference as well with the capital and D-12

The reaping scene is when people from each district are chosen to play in the hunger games.A girl and a boy from each district are chosen.

During the reaping scene there was a video what what happens after the hunger games and the garden scene. In the garden scene the president of the capitol gives speeches and quotes and beliefs for the district's futures.

Poor:Less opportunities,no food for 

|example Katniss has to leave the area to hunt for food for their family,old clothes,broken buildings,houses.

Paragraph 

In the Hunger Games, Directd by Gray Ross, costumes are used effectivly to highlight or show the theme of rich vs poor.For example in the Capitol the costumes are very posh They are neat, tidy, colourful even their dogs are coloured. The material is more futuristic and this makes us understand the Capitol is more advanced then District 12. The Director did this to create a contrast between the costumes. In District 12 the costumes are older, the materials used are nutural and well worn.This difference shows that there are privileages to living in the Capitol.

How to make a secsseful paragraph is by having a topic and backing up your example/statement.

In the Reaping scene in The Hunger Games, the idea of rich v poor is explained through the use of wide shots and close ups. 

Explanation The comparison between the wealth of the Capitol, represented by Effie, and the poorness of District 12 is seen in the wide shot of the people gathered at the reaping. 

A close up shot of Effie reveals quality, colourful make-up and costume. The wide shot of the crowd is used to show that they are forced to be there. This wide shot also shows a lack of colour in the population of District 12’s material and costume to show they are poor.
