English

Somewhere Thats Green
Im feeling the video to be sterotypical for the femanity having to clean up around the house, having to wear a long dress with a lot of cliviage showing hair sprayed down and cook, where the masculinity is out side doing the gardens and the heavy work has to dress up all neat hair slicked back or to the side. Heres a link to the video

Leagally blonde
Women are still having to wear the same old colthes they did 30-40years ago and she is really loud, has blonde hair, the male is one who likes to beat her girlfriend and thinks hes the better than everyone. Here is the link to the video

11. How are adults constructed in this text? Females should be second to males in both texts. Woman in the 1st text is ambitionless and the 2nd wants to be lawyer, the stereotype that blondes can be smart.
28. What kind of social reality does this text portray? Life wasnt fun, people dont want to do things outside their sterotypes- eg men in the garden &women in the kitchen. In the second clip set 30 years later women and men can do the same jobs and have the same opportunites
29. How does this text construct a version of reality?  Draws from history, finds examples of props and setting that actually existed in the time period.
34. What different interpretations of the text are possible? Yes- we can view the shift from men being positive to being put down, we can view the shift in society and cultural values- there is more to life than a house, dog and kids.
